Colouring on vellum

This card is inspired by Karen Barber. Here is a link to her beautiful card. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/936728?cat=13815

This technique is very easy. You emboss your stamped image on vellum. Colour on the other side of the image for a soft look and voila!

Recipe: Stamp set: SU! Fresh Cuts (will be available in the new catalog coming out on August 11th).
Papers: Vellum, Bashfull Blue, Whisper White and Orchid Opulence, Prints Pack Designer Series Paper (hostess level 1).
Ink: White craft, markers- Orchid Opulence and Old Olive
Accessories: White embossing powder, Horizontal slot punch, 1/4 grosgrain ribbon (retired), white brads.
Have a great weekend!

Beautiful card!

Question--how do you keep the vellum from getting all distorted? I tried embossing on vellum a few days ago and as soon as I took my heat tool to it, it started sort of warping a little?

It wasn't flat like yours when I was done. What's your secret?

Hi Julia,
I try and keep the heating tool not too close too the vellum. See if this helps.
Thanks
Jacynthe
