Spotlight on Faith Hofrichter

Faith is also known as Markie's Mom at the SCS's gallery. She is an amazing artist and I love how much she pays attention to details. Her cards are little works of art. I decided to make a card using the colour challenge for today. Here is a link to the CC 190's gallery http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=all&si=CC190&what=keywords and here is the card that inspired me: http://stampinwithmarkiesmom.blogspot.com/2008/10/blog-hop-and-todays-challenge.html

I am including a link to her super fun and beautiful blog on the side.

Crazy for Cupcakes Tonight!!

Here is the other card that we will make tonight.

I just love this set and it is on sale this month because Stampin' Up! is celebrating their 20th year! Woohoo!!

This card was inspired by another stamper but I don't remember who. I usually write down the name of the stampers who create beautiful cards but I didn't with this one. I've looked through many galleries and blogs and finally gave up. So, if anyone recognizes this card, let me know and I will give full credit to the original stamper. Mine is a little different because I used different colours and I used beads to decorate the frosting :)

Recipe: Stamps by Stampin' Up Crazy for Cupcakes

Papers: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette, Patterns designer Series Pink Pirouette.

Accessories: Chocolate Chip 1" Double Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Beads (non SU!), Pop Dots, Dazzling Diamonds, 3/4" circle punch, Piercing tool, Scallop Edge Punch.

Keep flossing and have a happy Friday!

Such a Deer

This one is for the sketch challenge this week at Splitcoaststampers.

The colours in the new gorgeous paper called Autumn Vine are so beautiful and I couldn't wait to make a fall card with it. I also used a Flower Fusion. Those are so fun because they are made of felt and add a cool texture to any project. I placed Pop Dots to make the deer "pop" :)

Spotlight on Stacey Schafer

I made this card for 2 chalenges on Splitcoaststampers and used Stacey Schafer (slschaf771) as my inspiration. She has a beautiful gallery and I am including a link on the side so you can check it out!! Here is the card that inspired me : http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1044725?cat=500&ppuser=156785

One of the challenges was to use Twinkling H2O. It is sort of paint that has a shimmer to it. Very hard to catch on a photo but very pretty in real life. You can find those at Hobby Lobby and other craft stores. Here is a link to the gallery for this challenge http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?si=TLC191

The other challenge is a colour challenge and you can see the gallery here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=all&si=CC189&what=keywords

Thanks for stopping by and have a happy Tuesday!

Spotlight on Taylor VanBruggen

I can't belive it has been this long since I posted anything. Life gets so busy and you realize the back burner needs attention too :)

So, here is a card I made for a challenge found on an awesome blog: http://tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com/2008/09/taylored-expressions-cupcake-challenge_19.html I have enjoyed Taylor's blog for quite some time now and she also has a great online store where she sells wonderful card making supplies. I am adding links on the side barr.
Here is the sketch we had to work with

And here is my card

Fun thing about these papers is that they are the same as the fabric we used for one of the quilts we made this summer. I couldn't pass this up as I need to make a few thank you cards to friends who helped me this summer with the big quilting project.

Supplies: sentiment done on the computer

Papers: The Paper Studio, My Mind's Eye, Bazzill

Accessories: SU!'s Bashful Blue Taffeta Ribbon, Piercing tool, Chocolate Chip marker, Pop Dots.

Thanks for stopping by and have a happy Saturday!!
