November Shoe Box Swap
Wendy's card:
I plan on having another Shoe Box Swap on January 6th. So, if you want to join us, save that date on your calendar.
I probably won't be able to post anything else before Thanksgiving because I will be busy with family coming into town. So, I'd like to wish Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American friends!!

Masking technique with Lovely as a Tree
List of supplies needed:
Stamp the sentiment first, in Night of Navy Classic Ink pad at the bottom of the Shimmery White paper ( 4 3/4 by 3 1/2 inches)
Stamp your Lovely as a tree stamp in Night of Navy a little bit to the right of your shimmery White paper.
Stamp your image again onto the paper a little bit to the left but this time, don't ink it up. It will stamp a lighter image but this helps create the illusion of depth.
Use your circle punch to create a "moon". Place it wherever you'd like.
Using your stamping sponge, dip it into the Baja Breeze Classic Ink pad. Dab the excess on a scrap sheet first and then sponge the surface you want to colour.
Remove your circle and see the moon appear :) Cool effect isn't it!!
Finish up your card by adhering it to a 5 x 3 3/4 inch Night of Navy cardstock, and adhere that to your card base which is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.
I tried to capture the shimmer from the white paper but it is hard. I have to say it is very cool in real life :)I need to go, time to go watch 24 !!!! Woohoo!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a happy Monday!!

Spotlight on Cindy Haffner
First, Saturday is Inspiration Challenge at SCS. Here is the photo that inspired me to make this card http://www.bodenusa.com/en-us/Girls-Sweaters/Sweaters/31266/Girls-Funky-Knitted-Dress.html?orcid=-50#jf15 It is such a cute dress and I love the colours and the flowers!!
The other challenge is found on Cindy Haffner's blog http://cindyhaffnerscorner.blogspot.com/2008/11/mftsc55.html
I just love her blog. It is full of beautiful ideas and I just love it. Cindy is Canadian too so the more reasons to like her :) I am including a link on my list, on the right.
I need to work on my sponging technique. The sky is a little more blue than I wish it was. Oh well!!
This card is going to a patient of mine. She brought me flowers at work!!! She totally made my day when she said she had been flossing daily and her gums proved that she was telling the truth!!! So, if you ever wonder how you could make your dental hygienist's day; bring her flowers and floss!!!!
Have a happy Saturday!!

Rounding the corners
Today's challenge at SCS was using corner punches. I haven't used them in quite a while so it was fun to look for one of them, dust it off and it still works after all these years :)

I used different colours than she did and added a little more bling. This card will go to a friend of my daughter's. The butterfly has Pop Dots underneath and the wings are bent a little bit, but it is hard to see from the photo.
