Swap # 6

It is hard to catch glitter on a photo but this card has a lot of glittler on the lilacs. I know, you'll say lilacs aren't glittery... well, too bad, I like glitter so there :) I put more glitter than the other gals that night. I had glitter all over my shirt. I looked like I was wearing a shirt from Neil Diamond ( back in the day, he doesn't wear those anymore).

Recipe: SU!'s Blossoms around, Weathered

Papers: Whisper White, Pale Plum

Ink: Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, Old Olive

Accessories: Lots of Dazzling Diamonds :)

Very easy and simple card using the Seaside set and some hardware. The challenge here is to stamp the images at equal intervals but time is tight at the swaps so I had to go fast.

Accessories: Spiral Punch, Hodgepodge Hardware, Hemp Twine (natural)

Ink: Black

Another Shoe Box Swap

Here is the first card in a series of about 10 of the last Shoe Box Swap I attended. This swap was with my upline and I did get permission to post these.

I really like this one because I typically don't ever use SU! 's Barely Banana colour. I think it looks really good with the black.

Recipe:

Stamps: Spring Solitude, Solitude wheel (Hostess level 2)

Papers: Barely Banana, Basic Black & Whisper White.

Accessories: Brad, Black grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals.

Ink: Black

Thanks for stopping by! Have a happy Sunday!

This card was inspired by Pine is Here http://www.pinefeather.typepad.com/
She has an amazing blog with wonderful ideas. Her style is mostly "clean and simple". I just love everything that she does! One detail I noticed is that the white craft ink looks like Soft Sky on the Blue Bayou cardstock. Woohoo! :)

Stamp Sets: SU! Nursery Necessities, Nursery Letters
Paper: Blue Bayou, Certainly Celery, Soft Sky, WW
Ink: Certainly Celery, Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, White Craft
Accessories: Large Star punch, Blue Bayou stitched ribbon, dimensionals.

Homage to Lisa

I am very excited to feature or pay homage to a super awesome artist. Her name is Lisa and here is a link to the card that inspired this one: http://my-little-ink-spot.blogspot.com/2008/05/pink-happy-heart.html.

I absolutely love everything she does. I have added her blog to my list on the right. Go check it out!

Thanks Lisa for the inspiration :)

My daughter needed a card for a friend that will no longer be in her class next year because she is moving. She and her friend have been very close and she is so sad they won't be in first grade together. I hope she'll like it.

Stamps: Hero Arts, SU!'s Watercolor Joy standard wheel, Stampendous clear stamps Petal Plus set (sentiment). Papers: SU! Pretty in Pink, Whisper White and Basic Black. Ink: Black and Pixie Pink. Accessories: SU! markers, ribbon by May Arts , Gems by The Paper Studio, dimensionals and Fun Flock .

I tried to capture what Fun Flock looks like and it is hard to do! Fun Flock is like small fuzzy powder and you apply it like you would apply glitter. First, use a two way glue pen, then sprinkle the Fun Flock. It comes in several colours. I used Caramel Latte Tan on the hair and Cotton Ball white on the shirt to make it look like a sweater. It is such a fun little detail to add to cards or scrapbook pages. I saw that Lisa used it on a card that she posted on her blog and I am so glad I tried it. It is so fun to work with!
Thanks for stopping by and have a happy day tomorrow!

Maternity Shoot

Once in a while, I pretend I am a photographer and take photos of people other than my kids! This is my friend Stacey. She is due soon and she asked if I would take some photos. I am fortunate to have a very good camera and she was a wonderful model! Isn't she the cutest prego mom ever?

This is the last card for the swap. This is Jen's card.

I don't remember which stamp set the sentiment comes from. And I think all the supplies are from Hobby Lobby. I like it because it is very clean and simple.

The card I made was the one I posted earlier and it has the Mother's Day greeting in French.

Thanks for stopping by and have a pleasant Tuesday!

Homage to ilinacrouse

When I saw "ilinacrouse" ' s card on SCS, I just had to copy it! Here is a link to her gallery at SCS

Mine is slightly different because I used a French greeting since my mother speaks French. This card was a bit time consuming. The little beads don't easily stick to the fingers and when they do, it is hard to get them off the fingers! One thing I want to mention is how much I have taken SU!'s ribbon for granted. The ribbon for this card is very cute but it is very stiff and not easy to work with like SU!'s ribbon. I hope sometime, in the near future, SU! will also sell printed ribbon because it is so cute and I will enjoy the better quallity.

I also needed to include this photo of the snowstorm that is killing my chances of having any fruits this summer! Can you believe it is snowing on May 1st!!! Typical Colorado weather in the spring.

Recipe: SU! Cardstock Soft Sky, Groovy Guava & Chocolate Chip

Stamp set SU! Time Well Spent, All Holidays (in French)

Ribbon and beads from Michael's,

Used Blender Pens to colour the flowers and butterfly with Groovy Guava & Soft Sky ink pads.
